Intro
An adventure to be enjoyed by the whole family. We immerse ourselves in the impressive empire of the Incas, explore the charming city of Cuzco, wander in colourful local markets and discover the enigmatic hidden city: Machu Picchu. After, we make our way to the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca, and we visit the floating reed islands made by the Uros Indians. Day 1,LimaLIMA: Arrive and transfer to hotel.
Day 2,Lima-CuzcoLIMA – CUZCO: We take a flight to the beautiful city of Cuzco, the ancient Inca capital. (B)
Day 3,CuzcoCUZCO: Full day to explore Cuzco. There are a huge number of things to do - wander the cobbled streets, visit one of the many churches or hike, bike or ride horses to one of the archaeological sites outside the city. (B)
Day 4,Sacred ValleySACRED VALLEY: Today we transfer to Urubamaba, a beautiful little town in the heart of the Sacred Valley, home to a number of impressive Inca ruins, bustling markets and friendly villages. On the way, we visit the famous market in Pisac. (B)
Day 5,Urubamba-Aguas ClientesURUBAMBA - AGUAS CLIENTES: We board the famous train that runs from the Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu, a spectacular journey through a dramatic and changing landscape. On arrival at Aguas Calientes we transfer to our hotel. (B)
Day 6,Machu Picchu-CuzcoMACHU PICCHU - CUZCO: We enjoy a visit to Machu Picchu and spend time exploring this magnificent ancient city. In the afternoon we take the train back to Cuzco. (B)
Day 7,Cuzco-PunoCUZCO – PUNO: We take the bus to Puno, on the edge of Lake Titicaca. On the way we have the chance to visit different Inca sites. (B)
Day 8,Lake TiticacaLAKE TITICACA: We head out onto the sparkling waters of Lake Titicaca and visit the floating reed islands that have been made by the local Uros people. We make a last stop at Taquile Island before returning by boat to Puno (BL)
Day 9,Puno-LimaPUNO - LIMA: We take a short drive to Juliaca, and then fly to Lima. (B)
Day 10,LimaLIMA: Founded by Francisco Pizarro in 1535 and also known as the City of Kings, Lima became the most important and powerful metropolis in Spanish America. Today, Lima is a modern city that offers a wide array of attractions. A full day to discover the city. (B)
Day 11,LimaLIMA: Tour ends. (B)
