Itineraries

Day 1,NAIROBI - KIGALI - KINIGI

Fly from Nairobi to Kigali, and transfer to Kinigi (Parc National del Volcans). (D)

Day 2,KINIGI (PARC NATIONAL DES VOLCANS) GORILLA TRACKING

After a briefing by park rangers you will head off in search of the mountain gorillas. One of our closest living relatives, it is thought that there are only about 650 of these magnificent ‘gentle giants’ left. The trek can be long and tiring but the effort is quickly repaid once in the presence of the gorillas – watching them is an extraordinary experience and undoubtedly one of the great highlights of Africa. 4 - 8 hours treking depending upon gorilla siting. In the afternoon you will visit the Iby'Iwacu cultural village, a community project designed to engage local villagers with tourism as an incentive for conservation in the area. (BLD)

Day 3,KINIGI (PARC NATIONAL DEL VOLCANS)

Today you will have a morning visit to the twin lakes. In the afternoon you will then have a choice of hiking to Dian Fossey's grave or searching for the golden monkeys. (BLD) Please let us know which activity you would rather do in the afternoon when booking.

Day 4,KIGALI

Travel back to Kigali where you will visit the Genocide Memorial Centre. You will then have an afternoon city tour.(BLD)

Day 5,KIGALI – NAIROBI

Fly back to Nairobi. Tour ends on arrival. (B)
