3 ½ weeks: Istanbul to Cairo or v.v. (DR4CC-ITC)
A busy trip along good roads, with pretty good facilities and easy lifestyle. Very cultural and inclusive. Fast pace but with time built in for R&R on beaches. Excellent first timers trip.General Notes

If Starting in UK:It is possible to start or finish in the UK 10 days before or after the Istanbul start or finish date. We will pass through Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, Macedonia and Greece. See refs UVC opposite or search for UVC on website.

Nights 4-8:Turkish Coast: Ancient Troy and spend two nights at Selcuk to explore the ruins of Ephesus
Turkish Coast: Relax at Olu Deniz on the beautiful Mediterranean coast
Turkish Coast: Hill trek to the remote and very atmospheric ruined city of Termessos
Nights 9-11:Turkish Anatolia: 2 night guided tour of Capadocia's Goreme Valley and underground troglodyte cities and caves
Nights 12-17:Syria: Overland into Syria to discover the fortified ancient city of Aleppo
Syria: Guided visit to the vast crusader castle of Krak des Chevaliers
Syria: Off to the desert oasis and ancient city of Palmyra for a guided trip around the site
Syria: 3 nights to chill and explore with a guide the vibrant trading city of Damascus
Syria: Side trip off to the Bosra Amphitheatre
Nights 18-22:Jordan: Journey south into Jordan for a guided trip around the immaculate ruined city of Jerash
Jordan: Swim and float in the Dead Sea
