Itineraries
Day 1 WindhoekMeet in the Namibia's German influenced capital Windhoek.
Days 2-3 SossusvleiLeave the capital and traverse the Highlands en route to the Namib Desert. Make a pre-dawn start to experience the ever changing colours of the Sossusvlei sand dunes, before visiting Sesriem Canyon.
Days 4-5 SwakopmundTravel via Kuiseb Canyon and Walvis Bay flamingo lagoons to the coastal resort of Swakopmund. Visit the nearby Welwitchia plants. There is free time to explore Swakopmund or take part in optional activities such as scenic flights, quad biking or sea fishing.
Day 6 TwylfonteinHead north to visit Cape Cross Seal Colony, passing Namibia's highest peak, the Brandberg. Enter Damaraland, home to the elusive desert elephant, that might be spotted along the dry river-bed areas.
Day 7 Oase Himba VillageVisit the rock paintings and engravings of Twyfelfontein, before travelling to a nearby Himba village to learn about the lives of these semi-nomadic people.
Day 8 Northern DamaralandStay in a small game reserve in the region of Etosha with options to relax at the lodge and take walks in this fascinating land or just relax. From a hide overlooking a waterhole spot native game coming to drink.
Days 9-11 EtoshaEnjoy game drives in the wonderful national park of Etosha. There is time to relax by the pool and visit the floodlit waterholes by night to spy black rhinos.
Day 12 OtaviTransfer to the Ombili Bushman Project to learn about the fascinating lives of today's San (Bushman) people. Continue south into the Otavi Mountains for an afternoon walk.
Day 13 WindhoekVisit Okahandja wood-carving market before returning to Windhoek. The adventure comes to an end after lunch.
