See some of Africas most spectacular wildlife on a foot safari - an unforgettable wildlife experience. Makutsi Safari Farm is a privately owned lodge in the north-east part of South Africa, with accommodation in traditional thatched rondavels set in thousands of acres of pristine African bush. Safaris are done by foot or by open Land Rover. Most of the African wildlife can be encountered here, including the \"Big 5\"; elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard. The safaris on foot allow the guests to get close to the animals, a very exciting experience.Accommodation

Arrival & departure transferAs of 1 Nov 2007 Makutsi Safari Farm will no longer be doing arrival & departure transfers from JNB airport. The only airports they will be doing transfers from/to are HDS (Hoedspruit) and PHW (Phalaborwa).

Day 1, JOHANNESBURG - MAKUTSITransfer to Makutsi Safari Farm, near the famous Kruger National Park. (D)
Day 2, MAKUTSIEnjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of the many animals that live here. (BD)
Day 3, MAKUTSIA full day of game drives and walks to explore this area further. (BD)
Day 4, DRAKENSBERG MOUNTAINS AND BLYDE RIVER CANYONAn excursion to the beautiful areas of the Drakensberg Mountains and the enormous Blyde River Canyon. (BD)
Day 5, TRIBAL VILLAGE AND MAKUTSI RAIN FORESTAfter breakfast you visit nearby Shangaan and Sotho villages and learn about traditional culture. After a bush picnic, we take a two hour walk through indigenous rain forest to the springs of the Makutsi River. (BD)
Day 6, MAKUTSIDay at leisure. (BD)
