We spend the night in Urubamba, in the heart of the Sacred Valley. (B)
Day 5,URUBAMBA - MACHU PICCHU - AGUAS CALIENTESWe board the famous train that runs from the Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu, a spectacular journey through a dramatic and changing landscape. After a quick visit to the Moon Island we arrive at Sun Island where legend says that the first Incas mystically appeared here after a direct order from the sun. One of the most sacred sites in the Inca world, the island is scattered with enigmatic ruins, including the Inca Stairway and Inca Springs. We spend the night at an eco-lodge on the island. (BLD)
