Day 1,BANGKOKArrive and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2,BANGKOK - BATTAMBANGAn early start for an adventurous journey from Thailand into Cambodia. We travel by public bus and exciting pick-up trucks to the sleepy provincial town of Battambang in Cambodia. (B)
Day 3,BATTAMBANG - BAMBOO TRAINToday we visit some of the sites around Battambang and ride on the local Bamboo Train, a definite highlight unique to Battambang. (B)
Day 4,SIEM REAP - TONLE SAPToday we travel by boat to Siem Reap along the Sangker River and into Tonle Sap lake. (B)
Day 5,ANGKOR WATA spectacular day of exploration. We rise early for sunrise over Angkor Wat then enjoy a guided tour of the main complex. In the afternoon we visit Angkor Thom, Bayon, South Gate and the Terrace of the Leper King. (B)
Day 6,ANGKOR WATFree day to further explore Angkor Wat and other surrounding sites. (B)
Day 7,PHNOM PENHToday we drive to Phnom Penh, the Cambodian capital. Free afternoon in the capital. (B)
Day 8,PHNOM PENHToday we visit the main sites of Phnom Penh including the Royal Palace and National Museum. We then get an insight into Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia by visiting the torture centre of Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields at Choeung Ek. (B)
Day 9,SIHANOUKVILLEWe continue onto Cambodia’s southern coastal city of Sihanoukville today. The rest of the day if free. (B)
Day 10,KAMPOT - KEPToday we drive further along the coast to Kampot and Kep. Kampot is full of French colonial architecture and nestled on a peaceful river with loads of restaurants and cafes. After a quick stop we continue to Kep on the coast. We travel by boat to Rabbit Island and with time to explore and relax before returning to Kampot for the evening and enjoying a typical and delicious local meal. (BD)
Day 11,SIHANOUKVILLEToday leaves plenty of time to wander around Kampot before heading back to Sihanoukville. (B)
Day 12,SIHANOUKVILLEA free day to relax on any of the beautiful beaches that surround Sihanoukville. Alternatively you can take a day trip to Ream National Park for jungle hiking, a boat ride through the mangroves and a more secluded beach. (B)
Day 13,TRATWe catch a boat along the coast to the Thai border. After leaving Cambodia, we take minibuses to Trat. Overnight in Trat. (B)
Day 14,BANGKOKReturn to Bangkok where tour ends on arrival. (B)
