In this 2-week bonanza you get to experience the highlights of Greece. Take a walk through history and discover the ancient wonders of classical Greece before partying on the magnificent islands. This tour blends history, mythology, and spectacular scenery, in an intoxicating combination of ancient ruins and temples and island hopping. Starting in Athens we visit the Acropolis, the ultimate symbol of Greece’s golden age. Try running a lap or two where the first Olympians competed in Olympia and see where the Kings and Queens had their fate foretold at the Oracle of Delphi. Look over the Valley of Meteora with its breathtaking Byzantine monasteries clinging to the edge of towering stone pinnacles. Travel the age-old route to Thermopylae and picture 300 Spartan warriors taking on the might of the Persian Empire, before heading to the magical Greek Islands. Trek through Europe’s largest gorge the Samaria Gorge in Crete, then knock back sundowners as you watch the sublime sunset in Santorini, before finally releasing the party animal within in Mykonos.
