Itineraries

Day 1,ARUSHA

Arrive in Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania, and transfer to your hotel. Tonight you will meet your guide for a briefing on your exciting safari ahead.

Day 2 to Day 3,NGORONGORO CRATER

After breakfast on Day 2, we head to the Ngorongoro Crater, teeming with a variety of wildlife and one of the best places in all Africa for spotting the Big Five. We descend into the crater in 4wd vehicles on both days, hoping to spot rhino, lion, leopard, wildebeest, elephant and much more. We also take a trip into the surrounding Ngorongoro Highlands to visit a Maasai village and learn more about their way of life. (BLD)

Day 4 to Day 5,SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast we move on to the Serengeti, a vast area of open plains that is one of the best known wildlife areas in the world. We take game drives through the park on both days and hope to have excellent sightings of game and birdlife. On one of these days we will also stop off at the Olduvai Gorge, where fossil remains dating back 1.75 million years were found. (BLD)

Day 6,LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast we drive to Lake Manyara, famed for its tree-climbing lions. Upon arrival we go on a game drive to explore the area. (BLD)

Day 7,MOSHI

Drive to Moshi where the rest of the day is free to relax or explore the town. (B)

Day 8,ZANZIBAR

Transfer to the airport for a short flight to the spice island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival we transfer to our accommodation on the beach. (BLD)

Day 9 to Day 11,ZANZIBAR

Three full days to relax and enjoy all that Zanzibar has to offer. Choose from dolphin watching trips and snorkelling excursions, explore the fascinating historic capital of Stone Town, or simply relax by the Indian Ocean and reflect on your safari. (BLD)

Day 12,DAR ES SALAAM

Fly to Dar es Salaam where the tour ends on arrival. (B)
