This 8-day family adventure visits the exotic destination of Morocco, giving you and your family an amazing insight into a mysterious and enigmatic land. You’ll have the opportunity to see both the highlights of this enchanting country as well as some time relaxing on the Atlantic coast at Essaouira

Tipping:

To avoid embarrassment and save you money all tours operate a tipping kitty. Please allow US$12-15 per week of the tour for this. This does not include a tip for the tour leader which is entirely at your own discretion.

Casablanca is a 3.5hr train journey from Marrakech. Tickets cost approx US$13

Itineraries

Day 1,MARRAKECH

Arrive and transfer to hotel.

Day 2,MARRAKECH

Morning guided tour of the Marrakech Medina including the atmospheric souks where you can see local artisans at work. Free afternoon to soak up the atmosphere of the bazaars and the famous Djemaa el Fnaa square. Perhaps take a horse and carriage ride or relax in the Marjorelle gardens (B)

Day 3,HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS

We drive into the High Atlas Mountains to the village of Imlil. Our accommodation here is simple but the views are priceless. This afternoon we can visit some of the local villages in the valley. (BD)

Day 4,IMLIL

Today we hike through the mountains to Tizi Tamatert where we have a picnic lunch. We walk alongside mules with one provided for each child so they can alternate between walking and riding. We return to Imlil for the night. (BLD) Walking /riding time around 5 hours. Trek grade A - easy

Day 5,IMLIL - ESSAOUIRA

Drive from the mountains to the Atlantic coast and the 18th Century Portuguese fishing port of Essaouira. Free time this afternoon to sample the local seafood or relax on the beach. (B)

Day 6,ESSAOUIRA

Today a taste of the Sahara by the coast! We ride our camels along the beach before having more time to relax around this picturesque town, perhaps exploring the souqs or watching the sun set from the ramparts. (B)

Day 7,ESSAOUIRA - MARRAKECH

Free morning. Afternoon transfer to Marrakech where we spend our last night. (B)

Day 8,MARRAKECH

Tour ends after breakfast. (B)
