Day 1,WINDHOEK, NAMIBIAToday is the arrival day of your Namibian safari and desert adventure. You will be met at the airport by your tour guide and taken to the lodge. In the evening your guide will host a pre-departure meeting giving you an overview of the trip ahead and what to expect. (D). Driving time: 1 hour
Day 2,WINDHOEK - MARIENTALThis morning we head to a lesser explored part of Namibia and stay at the country’s largest manmade lake. In the afternoon we take a game drive in the protected national park surrounding the lake. We hope to spot Hartmann’s mountain zebra, oryx, kudu, springbok, eland, red hartebeest and if we are very lucky the elusive black rhino. (BLD) Driving time 3.5 hours
Day 3,MARIENTAL - FISH RIVER CANYONToday we travel further south towards the Fish River Canyon. This is believed to be second in size to the Arizona Grand Canyon in the United States of America. We will start exploring this area by taking a short walk along the canyon rim. We end our evening watching the amazing sunset over the canyon. (BLD) Driving time 5 hours
Day 4,FISH RIVER CANYONA relaxed start this morning. After a late breakfast we drive through to the Ai-Ais hot springs where the day is spent relaxing in the natural outdoor pools and indoor private hot tubs. (BLD) Driving time 1 hour
Day 5,FISH RIVER CANYON - AUSThis morning we travel to an area infamous for its history as a Prisoner of War Camp and now known for its 90 to 300 desert-dwelling horses. After lunch at the lodge, we will be taken out on an excursion to view these amazing animals. (BLD). Driving time 6 hours
Day 6,AUS - LUDERITZToday we head out to a fascinating old German town between the Namib desert and the cold Atlantic Ocean. (BL). Driving time 2 hours
Day 7,KOLMANSKOP - HELMERINGHAUSENThis morning we head out early for our excursion to Kolmanskop. This has been a ghost town for the past forty five years after being the principal town of the local diamond industry. Some buildings have been restored but most were left as they were deserted – gradually being buried by sand dunes. We then continue our trip through some scenic Namibian farmlands before arriving at Helmeringhausen. (BLD). Driving time 4.5 hours
Day 8,SOSSUSVLEIWe now move on through the desert towards Solitaire. This evening we take a sunset drive viewing some of the fossilised dunes surrounding the lodge. (BLD). Driving time 2.5 hours
Day 9,SOSSUSVLEIThis morning we rise very early and travel towards Sesriem. We continue along towards Sossusvlei where we will be taken on a guided walk through the desert to the amazing landscape of dead vlei. On our return journey you can try to climb to the top of one of the highest sand dunes in the park – Dune 45! (BLD). Driving time 3 hours
Day 10,SWAKOPMUNDWe leave the desert behind and travel towards the coast. We will stop for a picnic lunch in Walvis Bay, where (if in season) we can see hundreds of pink flamingos. Upon arrival in Swakopmund you will be taken to a local adventure centre for a short briefing on the various optional adventure activities available in this town. (BL). Driving time 3.5 hours
Day 11,SWAKOPMUNDToday can be spent at leisure or doing optional activities such as sand-boarding, quad-biking, sky-diving or going on a dolphin cruise. These activities can be pre-booked along with your tour or at the briefing on day 10. (B)
Day 12,SWAKOPMUND - ETOSHAThis morning we rise early for our drive to Namibia’s premier national park – Etosha. On arrival we will go on an afternoon game drive. We will search for elephant, giraffe, eland, blue wildebeest, kudu, gemsbok, springbok, impala, steenbok and zebra. If we are lucky we will also see black and white rhino. The highlight will be if we manage to see lion, leopard, cheetah and caracal. (BLD). Driving time 7 hours
Day 13,ETOSHAWe head out early and spend the day game driving through Etosha. (BLD). Driving time 6–8 hours (game driving)
Day 14,ETOSHA - WINDHOEKToday we drive back to Windhoek where our trip ends upon arrival. (B). Driving time 6 hours
