Itineraries

Flights, Arrival and Introduction
You will be greeted at Kiruna Airport and transferred
to your accommodation. A welcome drink and meeting with your guide are followed by dinner.

Moose Safari & Snowshoe Trek
You will be driven to the amazingly remote hamlet of Nikkaluokta around 1hr from Kiruna. From there a snowmobile-pulled sled takes you into the forest where you are provided with your snowshoes. The safari continues on foot with your guide tracking the wildlife and hopefully encountering the huge moose. Lunch will be served in a wooden hut surrounded by some of the highest mountains in Sweden.

Snowmobiles and the ICEHOTEL®
There is no better way to travel through the stunning winter landscape than on a snowmobile. The adrenaline rush as you drive through the forests and across frozen lakes is amazing. After a well-earned lunch in the warm restaurant at the world famous ICEHOTEL® you join your guided tour. The ICEHOTEL® is an incredible sight. Whether you admire it for its beauty, art, engineering or scale, it is spectacular. Created solely from Torne River ice the hotel comprises a reception, the Absolut icebar®, individually designed bedrooms and suites, ice sculptures and much, much more. You will have plenty of time to explore and admire before heading back to Kiruna. We can also arrange overnight stays.

Sami, Reindeer, Huskies & Aurora
The day starts with a visit to the home of one of the most respected Sami reindeer men in Kiruna. You will meet the reindeer, have the opportunity to feed them and take a short sleigh ride. You will learn about the Sami people, the lives of the herders and the importance of the reindeer to this area. Lunch is served in a traditional wooden Lavvo..
Tonight you will be taken to meet your dog teams before heading out into the night. The silence of the forest seems even more pronounced in the darkness making the experience all the more memorable. You will spend the evening searching for the spectacular Northern Lights and have dinner cooked around an open fire – fantastic!.
